TBD was a founding partner with the team at Trunk Limited. We started on day one by naming the brand and developing an identity that supported our vision to reproduce iconic rock & roll concert tees from the past six decades. Trunk Ltd was the original, high-end producer of classic rock & roll tees created in California using only premium fabrics and proprietary screen printing techniques.

Creative Direction, Design Direction, & Apparel Design
We dug deep into the rock & roll archives to recreate designs that were based on some of the world's most recognizable t-shirt art. We also created original designs that were realized and printed using old-school screen printing techniques.
Our attention to detail included the development of proprietary, Los Angeles - sourced, knitted fabrics that had the same construction and hand-feel as classic concert tees made in the 1970's.
The apparel collection included leather accessories, headwear, and outerwear made using the same rigorous methods and top-rate materials, sourced in Los Angeles.
Lost and Then Found
The inspiration for Trunk Ltd came out of a conversation with a friend about finding a box of vintage tee shirts in my attic. From there, our design team began to imagine what might be. "Pirate" tees from concerts in the 60's and 70's along with backstage gear worn by the stage crew were reimagined to inspire more obscure pieces. The attention to detail, high-quality screen printing, and luxury fabrics are what separated Trunk from other t-shirt brands.
